This guide applies to all Coquella drinkware unless otherwise stated. Your Coquella drinkware is built to last through daily use, but proper care keeps it performing at its best and looking fresh.
Daily Cleaning
The lids and straws are top-rack dishwasher safe. The tumbler's body is technically dishwasher safe as well, but handwashing is recommended to preserve the exterior finish and keep colors vibrant.
For handwashing, use warm water with mild dish soap. A bottle brush helps reach the bottom and sides thoroughly. Rinse completely and allow all components to air dry with the lid off to prevent moisture buildup.
Deep Cleaning
For stubborn odors or residue, fill your tumbler with warm water and add a tablespoon of baking soda. Let it sit for a few hours or overnight, then wash as usual. This works particularly well for coffee or smoothie residue.
What to Avoid
Skip bleach, chlorine-based cleaners, and abrasive scrubbers. These can damage the finish and affect seal integrity. Avoid extreme temperature changes, like pouring boiling water into a frozen tumbler, which can impact insulation performance.
Storage Tips
Store tumblers with lids off to allow air circulation and prevent odor development. Keep them in a dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain color integrity.
Seal Maintenance
Check silicone seals regularly for any cracking or loosening. These create the leak-proof barrier that protects your belongings. Replace seals if you notice any damage or if the tumbler no longer seals tightly.
